The UK Government has launched two programmes so that businesses can learn new skills, reach more customers and boost their profits.
Leading business groups – including CBI, FSB, BCC, IoD and Make UK – have played a key role in supporting the programme design.
According to the ONS, making small improvements in management practices can lead to a 10% increase in productivity. Analysis from the CBI suggests that boosting the productivity profile UK SMEs to match that of Germany could add up to £100bn to the economy.
Access free, impartial online support about how digital technology can boost your business’s performance. If your business is eligible, you can also access a discount of up to 50% towards the costs of buying approved software, worth up to £5,000.

This programme is 90% funded by the Government. Businesses can access 12 weeks of learning, designed to fit alongside work commitments and develop a bespoke business growth plan. This includes 1:1 support from a business mentor. Delivered in partnership with Small Business Charter, courses are running at leading business schools across the UK.
