From counting the money in my mother’s purse as a child, to working in the school bank, and helping to run the school tuck shop in high school, I have always been passionate about, and wanting to work in finance. I left school, and started my career on an employed YTS scheme for a very large PLC, where I worked my way through the various departments, gaining experi-ence, starting from purchase ledger, through to management accounts, mean-while studying for my qualifications. Since qualifying as an accountant in 2001, I have worked for companies in differ-ent industries, gaining a vast amount of experience, including annual accounts, budgets, system implementation, monthly management accounts, setting up and monitoring cash flow spreadsheets, payroll and Vat returns, to name but a few. My strengths lie, in problem solving, being analytical, mentoring, improving pro-cesses, procedures, and in turn efficiencies.
