As a response to the Covid-19 situation, the Black Country LEP is working with partners to create a Black Country-wide job brokerage service.
We aim to match employees at risk of redundancy with new vacancies in sectors experiencing a surge in demand such as food retail, distribution and care.
The service also engages with employers needing to make redundancies to ensure a smooth transition for employees into new work.
Specific and practical advice for employers making redundancies and seeking to fill vacancies is available through JobCentre Plus. Training may be available to employees facing redundancy through various funded schemes. Support for managing emotional wellbeing for both employees and employers is currently available through the Thrive at Home scheme.
This information is for all businesses and employers in Dudley, Sandwell, Walsall and Wolverhampton who are having to make changes to their workforce as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic.
The matching will be undertaken by teams within the Local Authorities.
