Black Country 2020 Employer Skills Survey
Serco are pleased to announce the Black Country 2020 Employer Skills Survey. SSW are gathering information on the skills gaps and training needs facing SMEs now and as we work to cohesively tackle challenges to skills provision and delivery over the next few years.
EMPLOYERS – HAVE YOUR SAY!
As part of this important assessment, we are asking Employers who employ more than 3 employees for feedback which will help to inform the LEP’s skills strategy, funding and what interventions may be needed in the future to deliver relevant, funded skills-based training in your area.
We welcome contributions from a range of organisations, from start-ups to well established businesses, operating in every sector. As the recipients of future skills training, Employers are vital in informing this survey. This is a real opportunity for Employers to influence the future skills development and support in the region.
Working with the Black Country LEP, Serco have commissioned QA Research, a social and economic research company, to gather this information. In order to maximise the response rates, the survey has been developed both online and as a telephone survey conducted by researchers from QA Research.
This survey will close on Friday, 20th March 2020.
SSW – A Programme Overview

We provide recognised accredited qualifications and bespoke training courses to enhance your employees’ skills, increase the competitiveness of your business and boost the local economy. Because SSW is co-financed by the European Social Fund (ESF) and the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA), we can support your workforce at no extra cost to your business.
Serco works with a network of expert training organisations who have been chosen to deliver the SSW programme in the Black Country.
