Businesses in Dudley, Sandwell, Walsall and Wolverhampton will be able to apply for a COVID19 Small Business Grant from Tuesday 10th November at 9am. These grants will be administered by Black Country LEP Growth Hub alongside the City of Wolverhampton Council.
The Government, supported by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) as part of the European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme 2014 to 2020, are providing grants to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) of predominately, between £1,000 and £3,000, but a maximum of £5,000 is available ONLY in exceptional circumstances to help businesses adapt and recover following the coronavirus pandemic.
The money is a 100% Government grant which can be used to pay for the following activities:
- Access to specialist professional advice e.g. human resources, accountants, legal, financial, IT / digital, etc...and/or the
- Purchase of minor equipment to adapt or adopt new technology in order to continue to deliver business activity or diversify
Please note: these grants will be directly to the specialist or supplier providing goods/services so please ensure you have a supplier/provider in mind. The BCGH team have put together an independent service providers portal to help you find a service provider. However, BCGH do not officially endorse any specific service provider. Any equipment purchased must be paid for in the first instance and an invoice must be presented in order to redeem the grant.
