Looking back on 2019

Christmas is quickly approaching and it will soon be a brand new year, we will be closing soon but we have recently updated our website with all of the latest events and news to keep you going through the festive period!

2019 has been a great year for us, we’ve made some big changes and we’ve seen an excellent response from local businesses as a result.

In April we rebranded with a new logo and started to build our new website, which we launched later in the year. We also introduced a new business development team, who have been working hard to support businesses and entrepreneurs in the area throughout the year.

Businesses can get in touch with us to discuss their plans or to see what sort of support they could benefit from, we can provide a business surgery appointment or simply discuss over the phone.

Of course, our main highlight for this year would have to be our bus tour which took place in November. We visited every borough in the Black Country, popping up at various locations to provide free and impartial support to anyone who wanted to come and see us. We were also joined by local specialists such as Catax Group and NatWest who provided specialist advice on a number of topics from R&D Tax Credits to starting a completely new business.

It’s definitely been a great year for BCGH and we can’t wait for 2020 - we’ve got some interesting plans to help us reach more businesses in the region so keep your eyes on our social media and our website for more announcements.

We have conducted some analysis using our events calendar to show the most popular event subjects, types & themes – click here to go to our 2019 events dashboard.

Business Events in the Black Country in 2019:

  • 82% of events were for businesses in all sectors / industries
  • 98% of events were free to attend
  • 17% of events were networking events

Thank you to everyone who has contacted us this year or supported us in any way, we look forward to continuing our hard work next year!

We will be closing for the holidays from Monday 23rd December 2019 and then we will reopen as normal from Thursday 2nd January 2020.

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!
