The Government recently announced that it is providing local authorities with additional funding, to target small businesses with high fixed property-related costs and businesses that are not eligible for other existing grant schemes.
Colleagues at Walsall Council have outlined the full eligibility criteria on their website, here: https://lnkd.in/eXWaGDi
After reading the full breakdown of eligibility, to start the registration process, visit: www.GrantApproval.co.uk
As the website makes clear, there is a limited amount of money for this discretionary grant scheme so there is no automatic eligibility.
To avoid a first-come-first-served approach, there will be at least two bidding rounds to enable fair assessment of applications and ensure that businesses demonstrating need are supported from the available funds.
Only businesses which were trading on 11 March 2020 are eligible for this scheme and payments will be capped at £10,000. Businesses that are eligible for a grant under the small business grant scheme are not eligible for a grant under this discretionary scheme.
