Wolverhampton businesses are being offered financial support of up to £10,000 to enable their workforce to access regular Covid-19 testing. City of Wolverhampton Council's Business Testing Grant is available to organisations who commit to over 75% of its workforce to being tested twice a week. The deadline for this programme has now been extended to the 12th April, for more details and to apply, please click here.
Eligible charities, community and voluntary groups that have been forced to close during the coronavirus pandemic or have been severely impacted by the restrictions are also encouraged to apply for free business grants.
To check what grants are available and what you may be eligible for, click here or call the council's Business Support telephone line on 01902 290242. The line is open between 9am and 5pm from Monday to Thursday, or from 9am to 4.30pm on Fridays and they can also help you with applications.
A new Business Restart Grants scheme will go live on Thursday 1 April 2021. The Restart Grant scheme supports businesses in the non-essential retail, hospitality, leisure, personal care and accommodation sectors with a one-off grant, to reopen safely as COVID-19 restrictions are lifted.
